Our story begins with Layla (@talkdirtwithme) - plant enthusiast, wellbeing advocate, and the creative force behind Terrarium Making.

As an out-of-work Event Director during the height of the pandemic, Layla turned to plants as a way to manage her stress and improve her mental wellbeing. What started as a personal hobby, quickly grew into a deeper passion.

Creating terrariums and tending to her plants offered Layla a sense of calm, clarity, and joy in uncertain times. Inspired by how much it helped her, she began sharing this simple yet powerful activity with others. From friends and family to pop-up sessions and corporate events, Layla saw the same reaction again and again: people felt better.

That’s when Terrarium Making was born.

We specialise in delivering engaging, all-inclusive terrarium workshops for corporate teams, offsites, wellbeing days, and creative events. Whether we’re setting up in a meeting room, co-working space, or conference venue, our workshops are designed to bring people together through hands-on, calming, sustainable experiences.

Each session is thoughtfully led by our brilliant facilitators and balances expert guidance with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. No pressure, no experience needed - just good vibes and a bit of soil.
